Moumita Das brings a mix of a rich real-world experience with a constant pursuit of interesting research questions. In her prior avatar, she spent four enriching years at L'Oréal as a brand marketer before transitioning to academia.
Moumita's research interests span across the world of marketing and strategy. For marketing, she is exploring issues related to salespeople motivation & training, innovation selling, and luxury brand management. She is also active in her ongoing research on the impact of intraorganizational knowledge structures in strategic alliances, and performance implications of identity conflict in sales.
Moumita's approach to teaching is to make the class valuable to her students with content that is (1) relevant, (2) raises questions in their mind, and (3) is clearly situated in business practice. With real-world examples from her prior experience in L'Oréal, and a highly participative class format, she strives to make her students' experience meaningful.
