Les Alexander is a partner with Jefferson Capital Partners where he provides subordinated debt and equity capital for growth and buyout transactions. During his 12 years of private equity investing, he has served on the boards of several portfolio companies and the investment committees of the PE firms. Prior to his career in private equity, Mr. Alexander served as president of Ferrara Fire Apparatus, a leading fire truck and emergency vehicle manufacturer. As an investment banker for 15 years with such firms as Howard Weil, Southcoast Capital, and J.C. Bradford. Mr. Alexander completed numerous public offerings, private placements, and merger and acquisition transactions for public and private companies in a variety of industries.
Mr. Alexander is the immediate past president of the board for Benjamin Franklin High School, a public charter school in New Orleans, and is the founder and president of its foundation, Friends of Franklin. He is a director, founder, and past president of ACG Louisiana as well as both a director and regional president of the Small Business Investor Alliance. He was the Chairman of Finance for the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and served on its global Board of Directors.
Mr. Alexander teaches classes in Venture Capital and Private Equity to graduate students and Energy Investment Banking to undergraduate and graduate students.
